Our Commitment

Angeles Medical Clinic is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards. Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Measures Taken

We have taken the following measures to ensure the accessibility of our website:

  • Semantic HTML: We use proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and semantic elements to provide a clear document structure for assistive technologies
  • Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements on our website are accessible via keyboard navigation. Users can tab through links, buttons, and form fields without requiring a mouse
  • Color Contrast: We maintain sufficient color contrast ratios between text and background colors to ensure readability for users with low vision or color vision deficiencies
  • Responsive Design: Our website is fully responsive and adapts to various screen sizes, devices, and orientations, supporting text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • Screen Reader Compatibility: We use ARIA labels, alt text for images, and descriptive link text to ensure compatibility with popular screen readers
  • Focus Indicators: Visible focus indicators are provided for all interactive elements to assist keyboard navigation
  • Form Labels: All form inputs include associated labels and error messages that are programmatically associated with their respective fields
  • Alternative Text: All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked appropriately to be ignored by assistive technologies

Conformance Status

We strive to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Conformance with these guidelines means that the content on our website is more accessible to a wider range of people with disabilities. While we aim for full conformance, we recognize that accessibility is an ongoing effort and we are continuously working to improve.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, there may be some limitations to the accessibility of our website:

  • Chat Widget: Our informational chat widget may have limited screen reader support. We are working to improve its accessibility. In the meantime, please contact us directly by phone or email for assistance
  • Third-Party CDN Resources: Some third-party resources, including Tailwind CSS CDN and Google Fonts, are loaded externally and may not fully conform to accessibility standards
  • PDF Documents: Some downloadable PDF documents may not be fully accessible. We are working to remediate these documents and can provide alternative formats upon request
  • Dynamic Content: Some dynamically loaded content may not be immediately announced by screen readers. We are implementing ARIA live regions to address this
